PADI Discover Scuba Diving ( 1 Day, 2 Dives)
So, you're on Gilli Trawangan and looking for something different, but you have limited time - No problem. Well why not combine spending time on Gilli Trawangan with seeing what is under the water as well as above? Perfect for someone who enjoys snorkelling and swimming and all for only 590,000rp.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diver experience is designed to give you just this. After a thorough briefing and a few questions you will find yourself getting familiar with the equipment, and trying a few skills underwater. Once you have mastered these skills then your PADI Instructor will give you a short briefing on the dive and off you go, you will be amazed at what you will find down there, to a maximum depth of 12m.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience is part of the PADI Open Water Course and you can get credit towards this rating if you decide to continue either right away, or up to 12 months in the future, just ask your instructor.

This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, covering only the first three of five sections of knowledge development, the first three of five pool sessions, and the first two of four open water training dives, resulting in a limited certification. Particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily in the company of a dive guide or if you have limited time to devote to scuba certification, consider becoming a PADI Scuba Diver. This certification allows for ample dive experience and is a good warm-up for the Open Water Diver course, if that's your ultimate goal. PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:

The Fun Part
The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you'll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
Alternatively, you can choose to do your theory as an on-line elearning course from PADI. This is a convenient and easy way to get all of the theory done at your own pace. By doing this, you will save not only time (no need to use precious vacation time in the classroom) but you will be spending your course time with us where you belong - in the water! The PADI Rescue Diver course is a challenging & informative course that will build your confidence as a recreational diver. 3-4 days of intensive classroom and in-water rescue training will be both fun and rewarding for all divers. Students will complete 12 Open Water Training Exercises which emphasize a divers ability to be flexible and adapt to personal and environmental conditions. In the end, all 12 exercises will be practiced in real-life scenarios.

By the end of the course you will have expanded your knowledge of diving, increased your level of diving skill and be more aware of what is happening in the diving environment. Most importantly, rescue training can help you to save lives and increase safety by preparing you to properly respond to diving emergencies. Before you can become certified as a Rescue Diver you most complete CPR training, for which we offer the PADI Emergency First Responder course, although current CPR certification from other agencies are recognized (e.g. Red Cross or St John’s Ambulance). The PADI Emergency First Responder Course is an internationally recognised certification. It is an essential first aid course whether you are a diver or a non-diver. The usual duration is between 5 and 7 hours. There are no pre-requisites. The course consists of a series of video presentations, instructor elaboration and hands-on practice. There is no formal testing, just plenty of time to become familiar with the most important elements in assisting a person in need. The course price is 1,200,000 IDR on its own - combine the EFR and Rescue Diver courses and the package is your for 4,400,000 IDR.
PADI Divemaster Internship Program
Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the DM program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. During the DM program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.
Blue Marlin's philosophy on Divemaster Training is the best way to learn is to experience how a dive centre operates on a day-to-day basis, not just reading books and doing simulated exercises, but by actually helping the instructor train real students in there diving courses.

Assignment
You must prepare an emergency assistance plan detailing the proper procedures to follow in the event of a diving related accident (relevant to the local environment). Prepare a map of a local dive site offering useful information for those unfamiliar with the area i.e. topography, depths, entry/exit points,etc.
Water skills & stamina
In this module, you will perfect your confined water skills to demonstration level, improve your waterman ship ability & practice a rescue scenario.
Practical Application
Equipment Exchange
Underwater, you will exchange all diving equipment with a buddy. This will improve self-confidence and equipment familiarity.
Divemaster Conducted Program
You will conduct a real student training session under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor.
Divemaster Internship
The purpose of this section is to enable the candidate to work with students on a real course and help prevent, overcome, & assist with common problems they may encounter while learning to dive. You will act as an instructional assistant & your performance will be evaluated. In addition, Blue Marlin will also give you training in compressor operation, equipment repair & dive store sales - a very valuable asset to any perspective employer.
Course Time and Costs
We recommend a minimum of three to four weeks to complete the training, however, you can choose to do your Divemaster between three to eight weeks. During that time you have unlimited free fun diving & you can do up to 3 dives per day, which will result in well over 60 dives by the end of the course.
