Open Water Scuba Instructor Course

To qualify to enter the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course, you must;

  1. Be certified as a PADI Assistant instructor or be an instructor in good standing with another training organization for at least six months.
  2. Have completed and logged at least 60 dives as documented by your logbook including night, deep and navigation dives.
  3. Be at least 18 years old at the start of Divemaster training.
  4. Submit medical clearance for diving signed by a doctor, confirming fitness to dive. The medical clearance must be current within the previous 12 months.
  5. Have proof of CPR training within the last 24 months.
  6. Be certified as EFR Instructor.

2         Confined water skill review and assessment, workshops and presentations.

3         Open water workshops, rescue assessment and candidate presentations.

Note: Proof of 100 dives is a pre-requisite for attending the IE
